RCSD Superintendent – Retiring effective 12/31/2021

Brandon MS – Rankin County Superintendent Dr Sue Townsend informed the RCSD School Board this morning that she will be retiring effective December 31st 2021. Dr Townsend has spent 35 years in education, in many roles, including 33 years at RCSD. She plans to spend time with her family, including her ailing mother.

We wish Dr Townsend a wonderful retirement, and thank her for her many years of dedicated service to RCSD and our community.
