BRANDON MS – November 3, 2024 – The Exchange Club of Brandon MS recently announced a nearly 2-month project coming to Brandon, featuring a public ice rink, games, a vendor market, concerts, and more. The event is called Brandon on Ice, and will be located on the Exchange Club of Brandon MS’ property at 217 S Woodgate Dr, Brandon MS 39042. This property is a large, 12 acre plat which was formerly used as city soccer fields. The location is adjacent to I-20, and behind the older location of Rogers-Dabbs Chevrolet (and is just east of Noel Daniels Motor Cars).

Brandon on Ice will be a large ice-skating rink available to the public from Saturday November 23, 2024 through approximately January 11, 2025. The rink will typically be open to the public Tuesday – Saturday each week, and open to private groups on Sundays and Mondays (except for the opening weekend and the weekend of the Christmas Market).
Various entertainment and activities including concessions and a fun zone area will be available on many open nights of Brandon on Ice, as well as random live music, and other activities. A Christmas Market with vendors will be held at the location alongside the rink, on the weekend of December 6-8, 2024.

Vendors may register for the Christmas Market via an online form: CLICK HERE
Live music is scheduled as part of Brandon on Ice on many weekends, including at least two concerts on stage by popular artists. Details will be announced soon regarding the dates and artists.
“We can’t wait to bring Brandon on Ice to the community. Our club is looking forward to all the happy faces at the rink, while enjoying ice skating and all the other activities and fun that we’ll have”, says Mike Mann, President of the Exchange Club of Brandon MS. “We hope this is a great community event that we can host for years to come.”
A grand opening celebration is scheduled for Saturday November 23, 2024 at 4pm, with a live concert that evening by artist, Burnham Road. Entry to the park will be free on most days and nights, with the exception of special dates such as the Christmas Market and concerts. Tickets for skate rental and use of the rink will vary depending on day and time, with prices ranging from $8.50 for a child matinee ticket to less than $20 for an adult during peak times. Tickets will be available on-site and online at the Brandon on Ice website. Online tickets will be available starting November 15, 2024. More information regarding tickets and other events and activities at Brandon on Ice will be available on the Brandon on Ice website and online calendar.

Private group bookings for schools, churches, businesses, or other interested parties will be available on most Sundays and Mondays. Such bookings may be initiated via an online form on the Brandon on Ice website, or by CLICKING HERE.
Not only will Brandon on Ice be a wonderful family-friendly festival, but it’s also for a great cause. Proceeds from the event go to the fight against child abuse and human trafficking, per the mission of the Exchange Club of Brandon MS. So come out and have a great time, while also supporting a great cause!
The Brandon on Ice rink will have an eco-friendly synthetic surface, engineered to be self-lubricating and able to mimic the look, feel, and response of an actual ice surface. This synthetic surface is used by many all over the world, including professional hockey organizations, in their practice facilities.
About The Exchange Club of Brandon MS
The club was formed in 1978, provides funds annually to Child Abuse Centers (CAP) and to help stop human trafficking. The club has been led by many hard-working volunteers, who are dedicated to raising money for these charities.
The club is a chapter of the National Exchange Club, which was founded in 1911, and is known to be the oldest service organization in the country.
In 2003 the club had the largest “Healing Field” flag presentation in the United States in honor of the 2998 patriots that lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and the soldiers from all over the world who had sacrificed their lives in the battles of Enduring Freedom. The club had over 4,000 flags flying on our soccer fields that year.
In 2002, the club started The Dark Zone Haunted House as their primary fundraiser, while also bringing fun and scares to all of Central Mississippi for 23 years. Unfortunately, the beloved haunted house attraction, known as The Dark Zone, burned to the ground in late August 2024, just prior to its 24th season. Fundraising efforts to rebuild the attraction are currently underway.
