Public Message:
I am a lifelong resident of Brandon and have been married to my wife Sorena for over twenty-five years. Together, we have two daughters, Onsby and Stella, who are both graduates of Brandon High School.

I am running for Alderman Ward 2 to continue the forward path Brandon is currently on. During my tenure on the board, we have addressed water issues by building new water wells and new water towers. We have addressed growth by approving a long range comprehensive plan, and we have addressed public safety by building three new fire stations.

In addition, we have addressed quality of life issues by building and improving our park system and set policies to attract new businesses and restaurants to our city. I humbly ask for your vote on April 6.

Public Message:
In my experience in consulting with businesses from the Fortune 100 companies to small businesses and in other work experience for the last 30 years one theme has been consistent. The expectation of straight talk and a common-sense approach in helping them address issues and opportunities. I will bring that same focus to serving the residents of Brandon.

Being financially responsible is key to providing the services Brandon residents expect and deserve. We have some of the best first responders (Police and Firefighters) which help to keep our community safe. As with any growing city, we face challenges and will have opportunities for improvement going forward. I plan on bringing my 30 years of business experience and a common-sense approach to help our city become even better.

I respectfully ask for your consideration and support on April 6th. Please feel free to call/text me at 601-672-8006 or send me an e-mail to davidwstevens@bellsouth.net. I look forward to the opportunity to visit with you and earning your support.
